English as She Is Spoke is the title of a 19th century Portuguese-English phrase book--hilariously off-base because its authors did not speak English. The collaboration between Jonathan Knowles and David Rutherford arose out of the desire to bridge the language barrier between Finance, Marketing and Advertising by uniting someone (JK) who is fluent in Marketing and Finance with someone (DR) who is fluent in Marketing and Advertising.

David was formerly Vice Chairman of Ogilvy & Mather in Toronto. Jonathan is a widely published branding consultant with a background in finance.
